A proponent of an anti-inflammatory, mainly organic diet, Weil believes that sugar, starch, and trans-fat could prove more dangerous to the body than saturated fats.
Dr. Weil earned his A.B. and M.D. degrees from Harvard University. Honored as the Pioneer in Integrative Medicine by The Institute for Health and Healing, Weil received the John P. McGovern Award in Behavior Sciences and was inducted into the Academy of Achievement. He serves as the Director of Integrative Health at Miraval Life in Balance Resort in Catalina, Arizona.
